Stanley Porter is an author, singer, and songwriter known for his unique
brand of Urban Gospel. He is also the founder of 4:12 Records Inc., a
Christian production and publishing company. Mr. Porter has written and
produced over thirty songs and four albums, including the popular
releases: All To You and Square One. His musical work has been
nominated for both Stellar and New England Urban Music Awards.
In addition to recording and performing, Stanley has been active in local
church ministry. His work as a church musician and worship leader has
spanned the course of twenty years and can be traced through several
denominations. He most recently served as the Minister of Worship Arts for
Eagle Heights Church in Revere MA. Mr. Porter has conducted workshops
on gospel music, taught several choirs, and engaged audiences as the
television host of two music television shows on the Boston Neighborhood
Network.
A strong supporter of youth and community efforts, Mr. Porter worked for
nearly a decade as a professional teacher in the Boston Public Schools.
During that time, Stanley mentored aspiring educators and served as a
lecturer for Northeastern University's School of Education. He has also
served as a panelist for several forums including events sponsored by The
Black Church Music Ministry Project and WYSE's Youth Violence
Prevention Summit.
Recently, the artist completed his first book: Every Song Has a Story which
is now available online and in select stores. The project is part memoir and
part devotional. Stanley Porter also contributes occasionally as a blogger
for various websites.
